How to Participate in the STAR Study as a Patient

Support network

What will I or my child do?

First, you or your child will complete our initial STAR screening survey. If you are a patient 18 years or older, you can participate in the study independently. Adolescents under the age of 18 may participate with parent or guardian consent.

If you or your child are eligible, here are your next steps:

  1. Complete a short initial study survey.
  2. Schedule a one-hour virtual intake interview with our clinical research team.
  3. Download our app and complete 12 weeks of surveys and modules (approximately 20-30 minutes each) designed to support your recovery.
  4. Complete a brief online survey after you finish 12 weeks of app content and again at three- and six-month follow-ups.

Questions?

You can contact our team with questions about the STAR study before filling out the initial screening survey and at any point during your study participation!
